Mediterranean cuisine where rice dishes are the main protagonists
At Ascent we offer Mediterranean cuisine where rice dishes are the main protagonists. We are in the center of Barcelona, a few meters from the Barcelona Cathedral. We present a midday menu prepared weekly by the chef, with a wide variety of Mediterranean dishes, seasonal dishes and homemade desserts.
In addition, in the menu suggestions you will find top quality products such as meat and fish cooked in Josper. We have a spacious place with natural light, an exclusive private room with views of the Portal del Angel and a pleasant terrace where you can have a cocktail in the afternoon.
If you are looking for a place to organice a dinner for Mobile World Congress (MWC Barcelona) we have private spaces and the best location at the city.
The restaurant team will take care of making your visit an authentic gastronomic experience and our waiters will put at your disposal the recommendations of the day and a good pairing from our wine list.
Our lunch menu is available from Monday to Friday, and the price is 24€ VAT included. We use fresh and seasonal products. Every Monday we change the menu but we maintain the same structure: 5 starters, 5 main course (always including rice, meat and fish) and 5 desserts.
In our wine list you will find all the DO of Catalonia, betting on the autochthonous grape of each area. In addition, each month we give prominence to a different DO
For groups and celebrations of more than 10 people, we present our group menus where you will find our characteristic format of tapas to share, seconds to choose from, dessert that can be a cake and drinks included. These menus can also be served in cocktail format. If you have to organize an event, contact us so we can help you choose the best option.
We offer you a tasting menu with dishes selected by our chef, which express the Ascent menu and are accompanied by a drink. This menu will be available during at weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for lunch or dinner. It does not require prior reservation and will be served to a full table.
On Tuesday, April 23, the streets will be filled with roses and books and our restaurant will offer a special menu with traditional and local dishes. It is a special day in which we usually are fully booked, so, if you are interested, we recommend you book a table as soon as possible. The reservation times are: 1pm 1:30 p.m. 3pm 3:30 p.m.
